Good Grief By: Lolly Winston

I don't have much to say about this book quite yet. This is going to be the next book I will read. I read her other book "Happiness Sold Seperately," and loved it. So I am hoping for the same emotions and roller coasters in this book as well.

The Memory Keeper's Daughter

I was visiting the local bookstore a few weeks ago and this book was on the number one selling shelf. I decided to check it out and see what it was all about. I have just started reading it and I am halfway through. So far its very heartfelt. It takes place in the 1960's and over the next ten or so years. A doctor and his wife are expecting twins. They end up being snow bound and the doctor, (who is a foot doctor I believe) has to deliver his twins on his own with his nurse. As his wife is knocked out, he delivers a very healthy boy. His newborn daughter, however, has down syndrome. So he has his nurse take the baby girl to an institution. She can't bring herself to do so. Instead, she runs away and takes the baby girl with her and raises her as her own. What happens after that is anybody's guess. I am very excited to read this book. There is also a Lifetime movie and I can't wait to see it!

Follow Up on "A Million Little Pieces"

I have to be honest and admit that I have not finished reading this book. It's too complicated. Not as in reading but actually following the story. I just can't stand how he writes it and how he explains himself. I would really like to finish it but I just can't bring myself to read it for more than 20 minutes. I don't know if I am the only one who had a hard time focusing but I sure hope not!

A Million Little Pieces By: James Frey

I am attempting to read this book while still reading Wifey. So if anyone has read it yet or wants to discuss..I am open for thoughts and opinions. I haven't read much into it yet, I know its about a young alcoholic and drug addict. I know someone like this and am hoping to maybe understand what its like and see that it is a tough life to overcome.

Wifey By: Judy Blume

This is currently the book I am working on. I am only on chapter four but it seems to be a hysterical, typical women's book. So far I like it. Can't really judge much more yet. But background information is its about a housewife who is finally ready to break out of her shell due to a flasher in her backyard who relieves himself. After that incident, she can't help but be dirty! Sounds good right?

Go Ask Alice By: Anonymous

I came across this book through my cousin. He shared it with me and I figured what the heck. I'll read it. He is not one to read, so it had to be interesting if he finished it.

Go ask Alice is a book about a 15 year old girl who becomes addicted to drugs and sex. Now I know, pretty deep. But I finished it so quick because again it was just one of those books that I could not put down. It seems realistic and is actually portrayed as a diary. Now I thought it was real but google says different. However, it was a good book, fiction or non, and it was touching. I think every teenager should have to read this book. It shows what drugs do to you. I thought it was great and I would recommend it to anyone. It is a little explicit but it really shows how life as a dope addict for a teenager can be.

Happiness Sold Seperately By: Lolly Winston

It's called "Happiness Sold Seperately." By: Lolly Winston. Now I know I am freshly married and of course everythings fine so don't get the wrong idea, but its about a married couple who are having a hard time conceiving. Their marriage is slowly dissipating and they just get caught up in all of these crazy moments. It was just a great book that I could not put down! I finished it in a week, which is saying a lot for me. It kind of is a downer, I mean there are affairs going on, people being used, and all kinds of craziness. Its so realistic and just caputred me! So I have to say, if you are looking for a good book..this would be the one.
